DLSAs hold Constitution Day across Nagaland

Kohima, November 28 (MExN): The District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) of Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon, Kohima, Dimapur and Peren observed Constitution Day at their respective districts in schools and colleges through legal awareness and essay competition on November 26.  

In Dimapur, the Dimapur DLSA organized legal awareness program at Dimapur Government College. Yambemo, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on basic legal rights, Kekhriele-ü, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on immoral trafficking, Rokovitsu, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on cyber crime, N Kevichusa Retainer lawyer DDLSA, spoke on salient features of the constitution.

The programme was summed up by Ajongba Imchen, CJM and Secretary DDLSA. The programme was chaired by Khumchuba, Panel Lawyer DDLSA. About 200 students along with faculty staffs of the college attended the program, a press release from NALSA informed.

The Longleng DLSA observed Indian Constitution Day through legal awareness at Government Yingli College. Hamnyei Angh, Project Assistant Longleng DLSA spoke on Constitution: Supreme Law of India, P Monyei Phom, Panel Lawyer LDLSA spoke on Indian Constitution and Imlichuba Phom, PLV LDLSA spoke on Fundamental Rights and Duties.  

In Peren, the Peren DLSA observed Constitution Day at Peren Government College. The highlight of District Legal Service was presented by Enchang, panel lawyer PDLSA, History of Constitution Day by Asungbe, Retainer Lawyer PDLSA, Salient features of the constitution by Italang Advocate and Constitutional provisions for women in India by Asuni, panel lawyer PDLSA. The welcome address was delivered by Igong Ipuing, Assistant Professor.  

Meanwhile, Constitution Day through legal awareness was also observed by Kohima DLSA along with the college students at DC conference hall and Mon DLSA at Konjong Higher Secondary school Mon Town.  

Mokokchung DLSA organized an essay competition in observation of Constitutional day at Fazl Ali College on the topic “Constitution of India: A living document” wherein 15 students participated.
