DLSAs visit Observation Homes

Kohima, January 25 (MExN): The District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) of Nagaland visited the observation homes of respective districts in the past few days.

 


Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) headed by Chief Judicial Magistrate & Secretary KDLSA Phuleto Yeptho, NJS visited Observation Home, Kohima along with two panel lawyers on January 23.

 


A press release issued by the NSLSA stated that the team had an interaction with the JCWL, Superintendent of Observation Home and Counselor of Observation Home.

 


During the visit, it was found that the total number of 14 cases was registered in the year 2019, wherein 6 cases were disposed and 8 are on bail and waiting for Final Investigation Report (FIR).

 


Total number of cases was registered in the year 2020, wherein 2 JCWL are on bail and 1 is in Observation Home.
Dimapur DLSA team led by Secretary Ajongba Imchen visited the Observation Home located at Chümoukedima on January 22. During the visit, the secretary interacted with the staff and children. Presently there are three children at the Observation Home.

 


Zunheboto District Legal Services Authority (ZDLSA) led by Secretary Wokono Yhosh along with Project Assistant & Panel Lawyer ZDLSA visited the Observation Home, Zunheboto & Mount Carmel Home Sukhalu village under Zunheboto District on January 21. The team also interacted with the staff and children at Observation Home & Mount Carmel Home.
