DMC & Administration are blindfold regarding price rise

From a close and personal scrutiny and from reliable sources it is revealed that, at the immediate next door to Dimapur and at its different neighbouring markets the price of the poultry birds varies from 70-90 per kg, whereas in different parts of Assam, its price is even less than this. But in Dimapur we have to pay double price than our neighbours, whereas in other districts of Nagaland the price of the same commodity reaches even upto triple. Today, in Dimapur we have to pay 150 – 180 per kg and instead of decreasing its price, day by day we have to pay more and more. But it is a fact that during summer seasons the price of the poultry birds usually come down in comparison to winter but in Dimapur there is no change in price. Actually we Nagas are the highest consumers of chicken and ultimately we are suffering due to this high price. Moreover, we the Nagas are so innocent that no one is raising any voice against it or against the price hike in other essential commodities, Why? So I would like to know from the DMC that why there is such a huge difference in price, particularly for the poultry birds, which people of our immediate next door can obtain in cheaper rate from their market in comparison to us. I would also like to know why the DMC are not taking any fruitful and effective steps for such price hike. I would also like to request the DC Dimapur to take appropriate and suitable actions to step down the price of every essential commodity particularly POULTRY BIRDS in order to save the hard earning citizens of Dimapur from being robbed in the name of price hike. I would also like to request each and every citizen of Nagaland to show their courage by raising their voice against such un-reasonable price hike for our better future.
