Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council has informed to all business establishments operating within the jurisdiction of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) that any entity intending to put up temporary advertisements or hoardings must mandatorily obtain prior permission from DMC.
“This directive is issued with a view to regulate unauthorized displays and maintaining the urban aesthetics and civic order of the city. Establishments or companies with existing valid contracts with DMC are exempted from this directive,” stated a notice issued by Thungchanbemo Tungoe, Chief Executive Officer, DMC. All concerned have been directed to strictly comply with this order.
Non-compliance will attract appropriate action as per relevant provisions under the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, it cautioned.
