
Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): The employees of the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) have decided to go ahead with the proposed "No Pay No Work" agitation from October 25 with the government failing to fulfill their demand. The decision for the same was taken during an emergency executive body meeting of the DMC Employees Welfare Union (DMCEWU) on October 21.
While the proposed agitation was put on hold earlier due to several requests from civil societies and the Administrator, DMC on behalf of Government, with the latter failing to fulfill the union’s demand, the decision was made, informed a press release issued by the DMCEWU President ,T Revo Anar and General Secretary, Agan Rimai. ‘The agitation will continue till the government fulfills our demand,’ it added.
