Joint Director & HoD, Municipal Affairs, A. Zanbemo Ngullie on Saturday inaugurated approach road at Sunrise Colony, Dimapur which was constructed by Dimapur Municipal Council out of revenue collected through toll taxes.
Stressing on the importance of public participation in the development process, Zanbemo urged upon public to come forward on timely payment of municipal taxes which contribute to the welfare of the people. He said it was the responsibility of the public to safeguard and maintain whatever infrastructure the government builds for them.
DMC Administrator, H. Atokhe Aye said that the Municipal was committed to deliver basic services to the public and appealed for support and cooperation.
The road at Sunrise Colony, Dimapur is the 17th road constructed by the DMC in 18 months. The inaugural programme was attended by DMC officials, GBs, elders and leaders of the Colony.
