Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Following the reports on instances of transmission of Corona virus through wet markets or slaughter houses especially those dealing with fresh meat like beef, pork, chicken, fish etc, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has issued an advisory to the wet markets or slaughter houses traders to operate as per the FSSAI guidelines within the jurisdiction of Dimapur Municipal area.
With a view to contain possible transmission and spread of the Coronavirus, DMC Administrator Albert Ezung on Friday directed that there should be proper disposal of waste/fluids and butchers should handle the meat hygienically.
Failure to comply with these directives will be penalized as below:
• First instance: Rs 1000
• Second instance: Suspension of Trade License for 3 months
• Third instance: Cancellation of Trade License
