DMC revise rates of chicken, mutton

DIMAPUR, MAY 12 (MExN): In pursuance to the joint meeting of the three municipalities/town councils-DMC, CTC & EDTC on April 18, the rates of various cut meat have been revised and re-fixed. 

An order issued by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) Administrator, W Manpai Phom informed that as per the revision, rate of Broiler chicken (live) has been fixed at Rs 160 per kilo, Broiler (dressed) at Rs 250 per kilo, Layer and Felister (live) at Rs 200 per kilo and Kuroiler (live) at Rs 300 per kilo. 

Rate of Mutton (khasi) has been fixed at Rs 600 per kilo, non khasi/she goat at Rs 550 per kilo and offal (head, hoof, intestine) at Rs 250 per kilo. 

The DMC order also stated that the mentioned prescribed rate in the maximum amount fixed which is to be followed strictly by the sellers. It also stated that the stall has to be hygienic as per the norms and the butchers are directed to provide quality and hygienic meat to the customers. 

It also cautioned of appropriate actions against those failing to comply with the instructions.
