Dimapur, May 6 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), in pursuance to the joint meeting resolution of the three municipalities of DMC, CTC and EDTC dated 18/4/2023, has revised and refixed the rates of various cut meat.
DMC, Administrator, W Manpai Phom on Saturday stated that the rates for pork will be as follows: wholesale- Rs 200 per kg; Dressed - Rs 300 per kg; and Offal (head, hoof, intestine) – Rs 230 per kg.
‘The prescribe rate is the maximum amount fixed by DMC, which is to be followed strictly by the pork sellers. The stall has to be hygienic as per the norms and the butchers are directed to provide quality and hygienic meat to the customers,’ the administrator stated in an order.
Failing to comply with the above instruction, the DMC Administrator W Manpai Phom said, ‘it will be bound to take appropriate action as per provisions of law.
“The rate will be enforced with immediate effect,” the order added.
