DMC warn traders

Dimapur, May 20 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council has said that the council is receiving numerous complain from the public that the warned traders involved in selling pork, beef, mutton, fish etc continues to cheat the customers by selling the items above DMC prescribed rate, despite the retail price of those items have been revised.
A press release issued by Publicity Cell, DMC stated that charging more than DMC prescribed rate even after revising the rates is no less than greediness.
In this regard the DMC has repeatedly reminded the traders not to sell items above the DMC rates and to which the DMC has once again seriously warned the traders not to cheat the customers by charging more than the actual price or by using faulty weighing scale. Stating that it will no more tolerate such illegal practices, Advisor incharge of Market Rate Control has said it will take stern action against any trader found cheating the public, which may even lead to cancellation of trade license.
Further, in the event of detection, no exemption whatsoever in any form will not be entertained.
