DMC workers suspend agitation till Nov 15

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 7 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) Welfare Union has further suspended its ‘No Work No Pay’ agitation till November 15. A press release from the union informed that this decision was taken following assurance from the State Government. The agitation was earlier suspended till November 8. On Monday, the union held an emergency meeting at the DMC office and decided to extend the suspension of agitation.  The union meanwhile resolved that if the government fails to fulfill their demand within the stipulated period, the union would go for indefinite agitation. Further, it also resolved not to entertain any kind of request/appeal, “which stands final and binding.”
