Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): DMI St. Joseph Global School, Dimapur organized its 1st annual day celebrations on March 7 under the theme ‘Stepping towards the future.’ The programme commenced with the prayer song followed by bible reading and prayer.
R. Amongla Jamir, DEO, District Education Officer, Dimapur attended the function as a chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she told the students that to be a successful person, we cannot take a shortcut, but hardworking and placing God in the first place in everything will lead into success.
She expressed hope that within a period of 5-6 years the school will become center of excellence in learning and requested the parents to join hands together with the teachers as, it is not individual achievements, not only management or teachers but one should know that education begins at home.
Fr Johnson Correspondent Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School, Dimapur graced the occasion as the special guest. The other dignitaries present were Sr. Mary Jehani, Secretary of DFT Schools, Dr. Gnanadurai, Vice Chancellor of St. Joseph University, Fr. Charles, Director Association of Nagaland.
During the annual prize distribution function, the students were awarded certificates and prizes for the academic as well as co-curricular areas. The vote of thanks was proposed by the students and the programme culminated with the Nation Anthem.
