Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): The Dimapur Government College Students' Council (DGCSC) has issued a call for the immediate reconstruction of a campus wall that collapsed shortly after it was built. In a press release, the DGCSC also referenced an incident on October 10, in which a student was physically assaulted and extorted on campus, intensifying their demand for safety measures. Despite repeated appeals to the concerned department, the DGCSC noted that there has been no tangible action to address either the wall collapse or broader security concerns. It appealed to the department to prioritize the students' needs rather than providing “lame excuses” for delays. The DGCSC warned that if no action is taken, it will consider organizing democratic protests.
