DIMAPUR, APRIL 20 (MExN): Dimapur Police today informed that vehicle dash board cameras have fitted in all the Mobile Unit (MV) vehicles and body worn cameras has been issued to all the Thanas/Police Stations for optimum use in the field. This follows Nagaland Director General of Police (DGP), Rupin Sharma issuing the said equipments to the Dimapur Police Commissionerate. A press note from the PRO, Dimapur Police said that this move was taken “with an objective to check and suppress crime and deter miscreants/criminals from committing crime as well as to foster transparency and accountability while performing duty by the police.”
