Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): The authorities of Ghotovi Village Council (GVC) in Dimapur have sought immediate intervention of the concerned department for clearing landslide between Ghotovi village, Logweshinyu village and Yankeli village junction since September 4.
The village council in a press release issued by its secretary Kivigho Zhimomi stated that this road is the lifeline to more than 40 villages under Dimapur, Kohima and Wokha districts. It also serves as alternative route to connect Kohima and Dimapur district.
Taking into account the plight of the commuters, the village authority request the Department concerned to clear the blocked road on priority, GVC stated. It further informed the commuters to take alternative road till the landslides are cleared.
Meanwhile, GVC have acknowledged Z Inahoto Sema, EE PWD (R&B) Dimapur for clearing the road blockades from Niuland town till Ghotovi village in the month of August.
