Phek DC addressing annual review meeting of DMU Phek on May 14.

Kohima, May 14 (MExN): The Divisional Management Unit (DMU) Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP), Phek held its annual review meeting for the financial year 2023- 2024 at Phek Town Council Hall on May 14.
The meeting was chaired by Mulekho Rio (CB, IEC& Documentation Expert). ACF cum ADMU Dzuthovito Lcho led the meeting on the review of activities achieved during the past year.
Phek Deputy Commissioner cum District Advisory Committee, Chairman John Tsulise Sangtam expressed his delight on the performance of JFMC activities in the district. “We should work together as a community and grow together for successful implementation of the project,” Sangtam said.
He also urged upon the JFMCs to give their best in implementing the project activities and wished them more success in the coming days.
District Forest Officer cum DMU Head Enyiwekha Wezah also gave a detailed overview of the NFMP project funded by JICA. He stressed the JFMCs in having individual ownership mentality of the project.
The meeting also witnessed power point presentation from Range Officer's cum FMU Heads of Pfutsero and Meluri Range, Jweni Semp and Rhevitho Ngouri respectively.
Devotso Lohe (M&E) Expert DMU Support staff and Team Leader FNGO Chenibemo Odyuo also presented the activities achieved during 2023-2024. JFMCs under NFMP also gave a brief sharing of the activities and targets achieved.
This was followed by discussion and interaction hour after which Jweni Semp, Range officer cum FMU head Pfutsero gave the vote of thanks.
The Annual Review Meeting 2024 under DMU Phek was attended by JFMCs from Batch 1 to 3 comprising of 13 villages under Pfutsero and Meluri Range.
The Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the aim to improve forest ecosystem and support income generation by rehabilitation of Jhum area and provision of livelihood support thereby contributing to sustainable forest and environmental conservation and livelihood improvement.
