Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has expressed concern over the ongoing pen-down strike called by the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) and allied service associations in connection with the IAS induction issue.
While acknowledging the “genuine concerns raised by the state service employees,” the Union said it is also mindful of the difficulties faced by the general public due to the disruption of normal government functioning. Essential services and administrative works have been affected, causing inconvenience to students, citizens, and the public at large, it stated.
In this regard, the DNSU appealed to the Government of Nagaland and the concerned associations to “engage in constructive dialogue and arrive at an amicable solution at the earliest.” It maintained that “open communication and mutual understanding are the best means to address differences and restore normalcy in public service.”
The Union further reminded all stakeholders that “the welfare of the people must remain at the centre of every decision and action.”
“It is the sincere hope of the Union that the matter will be resolved peacefully and in the true spirit of cooperation and public responsibility,” the statement added.
