DNSU asks CM for new govt college in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 16 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) has called on the Nagaland Chief Minister to urgently address key issues affecting the educational infrastructure in Dimapur. In a representation submitted to the Chief Minister, the DNSU highlighted the non-functional state of the Dimapur Government College science block, which was inaugurated in 2020 but has yet to become operational.

"This unacceptable state of affairs warrants immediate redressal," the representation stated, emphasizing the need for immediate cabinet approval to operationalize the science block. The DNSU also appealed for the establishment of a new government college in Dimapur. The current Dimapur Government College, the Union noted, is struggling to accommodate the annual surplus of students seeking admission.

The DNSU urged the Chief Minister to act promptly on these issues, expressing hope for "favourable consideration and decisive action" to enhance educational opportunities in Dimapur.
