Do away backwardness with education: Yitachu

Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Law & Justice, government of Nagaland Yitachu today emphasised on the need to do away backwardness with quality education. He said that one should uphold education as a tool to build up a bridge to connect with advancement.

Addressing the 51st general session of the Lozaphuhu Students’ Union (LSU) today here at Lozaphuhu Village as the chief guest, Yitachu urged the students community in particular and the people of Lozaphuhu in general to jointly participate in the process of motivating and moulding up a child to be at par with others in this fast changing world. He said that, it is high time to shoulder greater responsibility for an intellectual organization reaching its maturity of 51 years and in the meantime it should aim to strengthen the educational aspects with positive mindset so as to cope up with the rest of the world. Urging upon the students’ to venture out their educational career by taking proper care of time and funds, Parliamentary Secretary further insisted that, to obtain quality education one should have broad vision and firm determination. He said that education without determination is more or less like a person cultivating in the desert.

Yitachu also said, “If election comes, the present NPF led DAN government will come to power with absolute majority. Rio is the undisputed leader of the present ministry and he deserves to be the chief minister even in the next ministry formation.” 

LSU President, Zachihu Vese, in his presidential address highlighted about the implementation of RTE Act and the Mini-marketing complex at Lanyezo project taken up by the LSU. The day long function was attended by Chekhutso Ex-MLA, Vechiso Rhakho, Jt. Director, Treasuries & Accounts, Chinese Chakhesang, Dy. Commandant, 5th NAP, Vehuswu, working president, NPF, Phek division and a host party workers. Earlier, the function was chaired by Kuvesa Khamo, opening prayer was invoked by Rev. Kuvengoyi Sakha, Pastor, LBC, special indigenous tune was presented by Ukro Cezuo and closing prayer was proposed by, Head Deacon LCC.

Meanwhile, the chief guest donated Rs. 50,000/- towards the LSU fund and 50,000/- towards the ongoing construction of the LSU marketing Mini-complex.
