CCEM organises special prayer for candidates running for NLA election
Phek, February 10 (MExN): The Chakhesang Clean Election Movement organized a special prayer service for all the intending candidates at the Conference Hall of CBCC Mission Centre, T. Chikri, Pfütsero on February 10.
Altogether there are 15 candidates from four constituencies including one female candidate, Rekha Rose as the first lone lady candidate from Phek District. Dr. Küzhopoyo Tünyi, convener of CCEM led the service. Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo Executive Secretary CBCC led the devotion and exhorted all to stand firm in their faith as baptized members, and not to be swept away in such trial times, basing on Psalms 33:12-20.
Rev. Khrütsoyi Lüruo gave a talk as an elderly advice. He urged the leaders to keep their identity clear by standing firm as Nagas and believers of Christ Jesus and together to build the broken walls of our land.
Kekhwengulo Lea, President, CPO shared the concerns of the society and how elected members must commit themselves to serve the citizens. He said that though the political party principles differ from one another, they all have to focus on the up building of their people and bring the required developments in their time. They must keep good relations among themselves and represent the tribeand district well to state, and as a state to the nation.
All the 13 Candidates who attended the service shared their mind in brief. After which the congregation stood and prayed for the candidates. The meeting was attended by the office bearers of CPO, the apex body, CMA, CYF, CSU and Church leaders of all denominations.
