‘Do not entertain imposters’

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): An emergency meeting of the Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has been convened on August 17. The meeting will discuss agenda relating to the seminar schedule to be held in the last week of this month, the forthcoming silver jubilee in November 2009, and important matters pertaining to the Union. In this regard, all office bearers, advisors and members of the silver jubilee committee have been requested to reach its office at 10:30am.

Meanwhile, the EUUN has once again reminded all government departments and municipal councils, agencies and companies, public leaders, contractors and suppliers, the business community and business organisations not to entertain any applications served in the name of the Union without the concern/approval from the Union head office or prior recommendation by its president, general secretary or finance secretary (“in case of financial matters, as per the power conferred by the Union constitution”). This, the Union stated in a press note issued by its press secretary, Ezanbemo Erui, is “in order to check and stop unscrupulous elements going around in the name of the union like collecting tax, funds etc.”

The Union further warned that it would not take responsibility for such unauthorised individual/groups and informed all in concern to contact the office of the Union at 2260875, or the ‘grievance cell’ at 9862148404, in case of any extortionist found, notice detected, or tax/funds demanded in its name, so that the Union could take “stern action”.

The EUUN also stated that it has been initiating various steps to further its aims and objectives in the interest of the educated unemployed youth of Nagaland and, in this regard, made an appeal to all to cooperate with them while fighting for the cause of employment and self-employment for the present and future generation.

The EUUN has further informed unemployed indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland, with “HSLC and above” qualification, to contact them at 9856231691/ 9856346819/ 9863242545 for registration, or visit the office of the Union, opposite Census office, GHSS Road at Rokabozou, Kohima, along with attested copies of certificates and two copies of thumb sized photographs for membership registration card/ID card.
