Documentary film from Nagaland selected for MIFF 2020

The short documentary film from Nagaland “Shot Await-The Making of Changlangshu’s New Logdrum” has been selected in the international competition category of the 16th Mumbai International Film Festival 2020.
The 26-minute documentary was filmed and photographed by Sangti Wanmai and Angke Konyak; scripted and narrated by Anungla Zoe Longkumer and edited by Megotsolie Dolie, Anungla Zoe Longkumer and Menang Jamir. The film was produced by Moba Langfhoang.
“The festival directorate has received 874 entries, with 144 entries from 24 countries in the International competition and 730 entries in the National competition. 35 documentaries were selected for International competition, including ours,” Anungla informed The Morung Express.
Earlier, the film received invitations for screening at the Bali International Indigenous Film Festival, in Indonesia in May 2019, and at the Rainforest Fringe Festival at Kuching, Sarawak, in Malaysia in July 2019.
Mumbai International Film Festival is the oldest and largest film festival for non-feature films in South Asia, which began in 1990, is organized by the Films Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. The Organizing Committee of MIFF is headed by the Secretary, I&B and consists of eminent film personalities, documentary makers and film critics.
The inaugural of the 16th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short Fiction and Animation Film or MIFF as it is known popularly, will be held at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai on January 28. The week long fiesta of best documentary, short fiction and animation films from across the world will conclude on February 3.
