Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): The Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur Unit visited the Nagaland for Christ old age Home at Seithekema-B, Dimapur to keep up the spirit of Don Bosco who dedicated his life for the afflicted and also to commemorate the visit of the relic to the province. A press note issued by Alphonse Daniel, secretary, Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur Unit stated that the Alumni Unit sang and prayed together with the elderly people and also provided rice, potatoes and clothes for the old age Home cum Prayer Center. The prayer center started in 1946 as a prayer group to pray for peaceful solution to the Indo-Naga conflict. Today, the center prays for everyone who is in need and takes as inmates to whoever feels rejected at home.
The elders of the Prayer Centre feels that this act of the Don Bosco Alumni is a God guided miracle that has brought the group to them and to contribute generously despite the fact that we were never known to each other. The note also mentioned that the entire Alumni members also felt happy and blessed after interacting with the elders and spending their Sunday in prayer and service with the old inmates.
