Kohima, June 16 (MExN): The Don Bosco College, Kohima celebrated its 3rd fresher’s day on June 15 at DBHSS Hall, Kohima. Hemant Kumar, Commandant 93BN BSF, the chief guest encouraged the students to join the armed forces to serve the people.
He said that in today’s world to be successful one need to be smarter and competitive. He also showed two video clippings of BSF namely, The Life at BSF and Wagah Border.
The Commandant stressed on the job opportunities for graduates in BSF and said that to enter BSF one has to be sound mentally, physically and intellectually and women are given 33% reservation, he also interacted with the students.
Later, his wife, Anita Hemant Kumar declared Wangphao Konyak C and Tavine Shupao as DBCK Mr and Miss Fresher 2017.
The programme was chaired by Awa Lorin and Deborah of 3rd semester. In the programme Miss Ruokuonu Solo spoke on behalf of the freshers’ while a speech on behalf of the senior was delivered by MsLidenoEzung. In the friendly football match, the fresher’s were defeated by the seniors 5-1.
