WOKHA, APRIL 19 (MExN): The annual games and sports meet of Don Bosco High School, Lakhuti Village under Wokha district commenced on April 19 at Lakhuti village, with Deputy Commandant, 40 Assam Rifles, Wokha, Dr Robin Goyal as the chief guest.
Speaking during the inaugural function Dr Robin laid emphasised on the importance of sports and education in one’s life.
He also encouraged the students to actively participate in sports and extracurricular activities as it boosts their confidence. He further advised the students to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
Short speech was delivered by Rev Fr Shaji Mathew, Principal, Don Bosco High School, Lakhuti, while vote of thanks was proposed by Headmistress Rev Jessy Jose. Around 340 students of the school are participating in the events. The students also presented various colourful programmes adhering to all the COVID protocols.
