Don Bosco Sports Academy inaugurated in Dimapur

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): Don Bosco Sports Academy was inaugurated in Don Bosco Hr Sec School, Dimapur on February 12. This initiative was kicked off with the introduction of the Don Bosco Football Academy, a press release received here stated. 

Don Bosco Football Academy is the initiative of SPCSA intended to reach the young through the Don Bosco way. The SPCSA meeting held on February 26, 2021 provided sanction for implementing football academies pan India. Don Bosco sports Academy is a platform where different sports sessions and lessons will be offered for the youth who are passionate about sports. 

The mission being - to groom many youngsters into forming themselves as disciplined individuals; to provide quality and standard skills to stand out in sports; to help develop their passion and creativity by providing them with a better platform.
The function began with an introduction by Fr Jaojian Daniel Gangmei, SDB Coordinator/Delegate of DBSA followed by Scripture reading by Sr Regina Chawang, FMA, Superior of Auxilium Convent, Opening prayer by Fr (Dr) AJ Sebastian, SDB Former Professor, Dept of English, National Central University, Message and Blessing by Fr Nebu Mathew, SDB, Rector and Administrator, Don Bosco Hr Sec School, Dimapur and Declaration of the Academy open by Fr (Dr) Peter Salew Director of Don Bosco Youth & Educational Services (DBYES) and Salesian Youth Ministry Delegate, Dimapur Province.
