‘Don’t blame without proof’

Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): Following the controversy about allegations of not fulfilling its responsibilities to the state government and the students by Cosyne Computer Institute, the Institute today pointed out to Chief Secretary of Nagaland Government, Lalhuma that it should not be shouldered with any blame without proof and at the same time requested the Chief Secretary to clear its name.

The Vice president of the Cosyne Computer Institute, Dr Aola Imcha, in an open letter to the Chief Secretary, pointed out to Lalhuma that he as Chief Secretary is fully aware of the MOU signed between the Institute and the government of Nagaland.

Dr Imcha said that the payments made to the CCI by the Government and the students are not 47 Lakhs but 42.8 Lakhs and added that the CCI’s utilization report of the funds is also with the Government of Nagaland for more than a year now. Dr Imcha also stated that the inspection teams to the institute dispatched by the government were satisfied with the function of the institute.

“After signing the MOU with the Government, you have dispatched more than 4 teams during the admission and for inspections. There has been no adverse comment so far from the Government regarding the functioning of CCI. All the Government teams that have visited CCI have been presented with the facts and have been satisfied that CCI has acted honorably as according to the MOU,” stated Dr Imcha and at the same time added that Lalhuma had personally visited the institute.

“With all these above records available with the Government we are surprised at the damaging comments made by you in the media stating that ‘CCI has let us down’,” the Cosyne Vice President wondered and requested the Chief Secretary to clear the institute’s name which has been badly marred after the allegations.

“We should not be shouldered with any blame without proof and request you to take efforts to clear our name. Even in the case of any dispute the MOU clearly outlines the process by which it has to be addressed,” stated Dr Imcha and added that the CCI’s responses have been professional and maintained the dignity of both the parties involved as per the MOU. In this regard, she hoped that the matter can be resolved with similar dignity of purpose.

Dr Imcha further suggested the concerned parties to verify the records available with the government and the institute to make matters straight about the allegations about deception.

“As per the MOU and signatories to the contractual agreement with the Parents and students with CCI, we suggest Parents, Students and Government Representatives to verify the Records which is available with the Government and CCI to find out if CCI has violated any clauses of the MOU” Dr Imcha stated.
