DoPN to remove cables on electric poles 

Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): All the cable TV operators and the Telecom service providers in Dimapur have been informed that their cables on electric poles owned by the Department of Power Nagaland (DoPN) shall be cut/removed without further notice.

In a notice on Friday, Executive Engineer, Dimapur Electrical Division, Y Akito Sema stated that the cables are obstructing and hampering the progress of work in shifting of existing 11KV lines and LT distribution network to the newly constructed trunk lines in and around Dimapur town. The department had also issued to all TV cable and telecom cables earlier on June 30, giving them three days to remove the cables.

“It is to be noted that no further notice will be served subsequently and any cables found obstructing the work progress shall be cut/removed without warning. Concerned persons are requested to coordinate with the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer at O/O SDO (E) NO-I (PWD Junction), O/O SDO (E) NO-II (Burma Camp Power House) and O/O SDO (E) NO-III (behind DC office) for further clarification,” the EE stated in the notice.
