DoSE addresses SMILE app concerns

Kohima, February 4 (MExN): The Department of School Education (DoSE) acknowledged receipt of that numerous queries regarding issues with SMILE App and clarified these concerns are being actively addressed. 

In this connection, it informed all concerned that the SMILE App has been updated since the pilot phase in May 2024. 

Hence, to ensure that all employees have the latest version, the DoSE issued certain instructions including uninstallation of the older app and downloading the latest version of SMILE App that is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

If a teacher is unable to mark attendance due to network issues, it further recommended switching to offline mode.  

Once the network is available and stable, go back online to sync the attendance, it said.  For any other queries, reach out to helpline service numbers: 6909644519, 8974102488 and 6900222184, it added. 

The SMILE (Smart attendance Management and Informative Leaves) application is being  implemented across all Government schools and establishments in Nagaland under Directorate of School Education  from February 1.
