Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education on Monday responded to the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Dimapur, on why salaries of Hindi teachers have not been paid for four months.
According to Principal Director, Thavaseelan K who issued the response, the Finance Department had disbursed the allocation on September 14, and the authentication which is to be done from the Treasury Directorate was completed on September 21. The fund must then be allocated in the ePaybill and later disbursed DDO wise and the same must also be updated in the Treasury portal which is a time consuming task, it added.
“Now, due to differences in classification code of the fund sources, lot of adjustment and tweaking was needed in the process of allocating fund in both the portals,” it said, while adding that ANHTU members were informed that CSS salary payment would be delayed on account of this.
