DoTE holds introductory prog in honour of Advisor Medo

Kohima, December 8 (MExN): Introductory programme in honour of Medo Yhokha, Advisor to Chief Minister for Technical Education and Election Departments was held in the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) on December 8.

Advisor Medo asserted that the subject matter of technical education deals with the career of the youths and hence, the future of our State- as such the career of our future generation should not be compromised under any circumstance.

Further, he stressed on the importance of skills development of the youth referring to the Government of India policy “Skill India.”

Commissioner & Secretary for Higher & Technical Education, Imjung M Panger, IAS in his short speech, highlighted the position of staff and officers in the Secretariat as well as in the Directorate of Technical Education. He stressed on streamlining the Department in order to place things in the right perspective so that it will reduce the problems faced by the Department.

Deputy Director, Er Khrieketoulie Rupreo gave a power point presentation on the main activities of the Department and also highlighted Priority Works which needs immediate attention to address.

The short program started with an invocation by Tiakaba Amer, Project Director, Directorate of Technical Education. It concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair, Nungsangmenla Imchen, Ex-officio Director, Technical Education.
