Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has informed all its members to get registered within March 31, failing which, the defaulting members would be denied of any claim or complaint after the expiry of the stipulated period.
The resolution to this effect was taken during the general meeting on March 18 at Rotary Club, Dimapur, wherein the members unanimously agreed to the resolutions in spirit and in letter. It was agreed that only registered members would be issued Smart ID Card. The Club also decided to follow the policy of non- interference against non-registered members in the event of any circumstances.
The house also decided to charge Rs 100 as renewal fee for old members and Rs 200 for new membership.
To foster unity and build stronger bond amongst members, the house also decided to organize a sports meet tentatively in the third/ fourth week of April. The sports meet will be conducted in the discipline of Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom and Volleyball, both for men and women. The details of the sports meet would be intimated by the sports secretary in due course of time.
On the recommendation from the members, the house also decided to re-instate the post of joint secretary. The nomination for the post of joint secretary will be decided after the completion of membership drive. Further, the house also endorsed the proposed welfare schemes for the members initiated by the executive members.
