DPDB discusses bio-medical waste disposal at Dimapur

Dimapur: The monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting of the Dimapur District for the month of March was held on March 5 in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner. Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Dimapur N.Hushili Sema, IAS chaired the meeting.

Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, the board discussed on the bio-medical waste disposal at Dimapur and suggested that Health & Family Welfare department and the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) convene a combine meeting with the District Administration to work out the matter and discuss in the next DPDB meeting. The Social Welfare department presented the Departmental presentation.

The Board also discussed agendas including establishment of ten bedded hospital at central jail Dimapur. However, as the concern department officials were not present in the meeting, the board decided to discuss in the next DPDB meeting.

With regard to the applications seeking recognition and upgradation to middle school submitted by Vikiye Farm proceeding ME School, Nikhekhu Village, the Board decided to discuss later, as there was no proper information.

The Board entrusted Fishery & Soil and Water Conservation Departments to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the chair.
