DPDB meeting deliberate on recognizing Tseminyu dist as economically backward

DIMAPUR, JULY 14 (MExN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on July 13 at Tesophenyu Community Hall. 

Chaired by MLA and chairman of DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb, the meeting focused on key developments and recommendations for the district. Notable attendees included Dr Tinojungshi Chang, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB Tseminyu. 

The members reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting and put forward several recommendations to the government, including creation of a Veterinary Health Centre at Tesophenyu, up-gradation of the Primary Health Centre in Tesophenyu to a Community Health Centre, establishment of a health sub-center in New Tesophenyu Village, up-gradation of the road from Nsunyu Village to Gukhanyu village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and furnishing of the DPDB hall.

The administration also granted a no objection certificate for the construction of a Superintendent of Police (SP) office at the present 4th NAP camp in Tseminyu. The members also recommended at the meeting that the Tseminyu district should be officially recognized as economically backward. Public Health Engineering (PHE) department gave a power point presentation.
