DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 11 (MExN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting and the Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meetings were conducted in Wokha, Tseminyu and Bhandari on October 9 and 10 respectively.
In Wokha, the DPDB meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall. Vice Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS chaired the meeting. The chairman welcomed four new members, Senior Treasury Officer Thungalee Khuvung; DPO (ICDS) Aoakum Longchar; District Evaluation Officer Nungsangtula and District Transport Officer Tatongtemsu. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board examined the detailed estimates for construction of Lotsu EAC Office building and project estimate for water supply at Middle Range approved for onward submission to higher authority for recommendation.
In regard to registration of Tsori Old Land Owners Union and Fishery Pond Farmer’s Society the board decided to forward their application to concerned Administrative Officer and fishery department for verification before approval by DPDB. Wokha District website was also launched by the Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha during the meeting. The website was developed by NIC Wokha in collaboration with District Administration Wokha. One can access the website through https://wokha.nic.in. The DC requested all departments under the district to submit their departmental write-ups to be uploaded in the website.
In Tseminyu, as proposed in the last meeting, the Inspector of Food & Civil Supply Tseminyu, Sashila gave a brief report on the schemes being implemented for the benefits of the beneficiaries under PHH and AAY schemes. She informed the house that after a gap of three years the allocation of food grain under Annapurna Scheme which entitled the benefits of a beneficiary by 10 kgs of rice per month, has been received for six months (from April to September 2018), where identifications of beneficiaries have also been carried out.
Concerning the ongoing MR vaccination campaign, SMO Tseminyu Dr Tinenlo appraised the house that health workers in the sub-division are on their job tirelessly and that 67.9 per cent of the total targeted school children under the area covered by CHC Tseminyu Town have been vaccinated successfully, that is up to October 9.
The SMO informed that so far 1955 children have been successfully vaccinated under Tseminyu town CHC. Another MR vaccination day has been fixed again at BHSS Tseminyu i.e. on October 16 where it is anticipated that more children are ready to get MR vaccination.
Meanwhile in Bhandari, the house deliberated on the issue of adoption of a village by the Bhandari Officers Forum and resolved to earmark Hayiyan Village for adoption. The house also discussed about the earlier proposal of a Traffic Island at Bhandari Town junction, and approved to consult the ongoing road widening initiative in order to complete its construction before Christmas.
The Block Task Force for Rubella Measles Vaccination Campaign in the Sub division, after a prolonged discussion in regard to low turnout of beneficiaries till date, decided to intensify its efforts to create awareness.
The house entrusted the women officers to channelize a system to utilize the Officers' Corpus Fund as part of the Human Resource Development and the Forum's Social responsibility initiatives.
