Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): To celebrate the spirit of motherhood and the bond of love and affection between a mother and a child, DPS Dimapur organized a Mother’s Day programme for the mothers of Class LKG – Class V students, on May 19 in the school. N. Atoni graced the occasion as the guest of honour. On the theme of ‘Mother’s Love and sacrifice’, special songs, dances, drama and poetic recitation were presented. The heartfelt and stellar performance of the students was a moment of reckoning for the mothers to introspect on the immense influence and pivotal role one has to play in a child’s life. Additional attractions of the day’s programme were competitive activities conducted for the mothers and the selection of the ‘Star Mother.’
A press note from the school stated that Sarah won the title with her views on ‘Nation’s progress depends on the future citizens – Role of the Mother.’ Special gifts were also given to all the mothers present.
