Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur, on Tuesday felicitated 91 students who scored 80% and above in the CBSE Senior Secondary Examination 2026, with six top performers receiving Rs 25,000 each and fourteen others awarded Rs 15,000 each for their exceptional performance.
Samrat Das emerged as the school topper with 97.6%, followed by Sangya (95.2%) in the Commerce stream and Yevino (95%) in the Science stream.
The ceremony, held on the school premises, celebrated not only academic excellence but also perseverance, inclusivity, and parental support. The event was attended by SI Jamir, Chairman of the school; Dr Aotoshi, Pro-Vice Chairman; Maronen, Treasurer; Principal G Mala; student achievers with their parents, teachers, and staff.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal congratulated the students for their extraordinary achievement and appreciated the unwavering support of parents and teachers. Pro-Vice Chairman Dr Aotoshi highlighted how students had successfully balanced academics with co-curricular activities and emphasised the importance of a strong parent-school partnership in nurturing confident, disciplined, and responsible individuals.
A particularly emotional moment came when the mother of Pentila, a special child, spoke about her daughter’s journey and described the school as truly committed to inclusive education. Speeches on behalf of parents were also delivered by Atila Longkumer, Gentleson Vashum and Vikeyie Kennao.
The school toppers shared their thoughts and gratitude on stage. The ceremony concluded as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and inclusive education, the Principal said in a press release.
