Students receive Umbrella from MLA Dr. Ato on July 14.

Kohima, July 14 (MExN): In support of school children during the ongoing monsoon season, MLA of 9th Kohima Town Constituency, Dr. Tseilhotuo (Ato) Rhutso, today distributed umbrellas to all primary students of Government High School Upper Chandmari, Lower P.R. Hill Government School, and Porterlane Government School in Kohima.
This marks the second phase of his umbrella distribution initiative, aimed at ensuring that young students are better protected from the rains as they walk to and from school.
Speaking during the distribution, Dr. Rhutso shared that the idea was inspired by seeing children come to class soaked or unable to attend during rainy days.
“These small steps can go a long way in keeping our children healthy, dry, and encouraged to attend school even in this wet season,” he said.
The MLA emphasized that his office remains committed to supporting the welfare of students and improving the quality of school life through such community-driven efforts.
