Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu presented with ‘Paul Harris Fellow’ award

Kohima | January 31 : Having the highest amount of contribution on humanitarian grants, PP. Rotarian Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu was recognized as Paul Harris Fellows, Meritorious award last night at Hotel Japfu by District Governor (DG) 3240, Ashok Kumar Agarwal during the formal function on his official visit, held at hotel Japfu last evening. Dr. Keditsu received a commemorative certificate and a pin from District Governor.
Addressing the gathering, DG highly acknowledged the efforts of the Rotary club Kohima for the ceaseless contributions, rendering to the people. Reflecting the theme, “Building communities, Bridging continents”, DG said bridge of humanity is a bridge of Love. Over the two main ongoing projects, ‘Smile Project and Heart to heart project’, DG also urged upon the gatherings to spread the message and let the people get benefited out of it, said DG. He also urged upon the Rotaract to put more effort in order to let the club grow and also appealed to retain the rotary members in order to achieve excellent service to the community. Agarwal challenged the club members to develop leadership within the club and to have integrity to serve beyond the club.
Two new members, Dr. P. Ngullie and Dr. Neiphriezo were also inducted as Rotary members in the presence of DG. The Rotarians also invites the patients of cleft Lips and Cleft Palate and the patients of hole in the heart to come forward and make use of the project which is still on. DG was accompanied by Assistant Governor (AG), Pradip Kumar Jain and Member RC Dimapur, Manoj Jain. The programme was marked by Presidential address by President Rtn. Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu PHF, Invocation by Rtn. Vinito Chishi, Four Way Test by RC Kohima trio and secretary report by Robert Khuvung. Rtn Linda Solo also presented special number while PP Rtn. Mhonbemo Patton, delivered vote of thanks.
It may be mentioned that Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Foundation’s charitable and educational programme. A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes $1,000 or in whose name that amount is contributed where every Paul Harris Fellow receives a pin, medallion and a certificate when he/she becomes a Fellow to identify that Paul Harris Fellow as an advocate of the Foundation’s goals of world peace and international understanding.
