During those days there were no modern buildings and no developed roads like now and  along the stretch of the highway from Chumoukedima towards  Dimapur town there were greenery with trees covering the road from both sides.

He said that massive changes and development took place in the last 15 to 20 years.

“Peace does not come easy. Peace cannot be bought with money,” he said adding that peace and unity depends on each individual and also through dedicated leaders.

We have to set aside our ego, jealousy, hatred and differences and bring peace to our society, he said.

Dr. Mero also opined on current census program and said that it must be well balanced and healthy.
