DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): The monthly Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning Development Board meeting was held on July 6 at DB Hall, ADC Office Pughoboto.
According to a DIPR report, at the meeting, MLA & chairman, Dr Sukhato A. Sema stressed on the need for inclusive development, youth empowerment, plantation drive, and quality education. He mentioned that proposal would be sent to the Roads & Bridge Department to repair the road from Lazami junction to Pughoboto town.
The house discussed seeking permission from the School Education Department to run the Little Blossom School. It was also agreed to send a proposal to Home Commissioner for seeking licensing authority for small arms within the Pughobto sub-division, the DIPR report said.
Discussions were held for setting up the office of (NIC) National Informatic Center in Pughoboto town. Power-point presentation was made by SDO, Soil & Water Conservation, Alika Zhimomi. Discussion and suggestions for proper implementation of the local area development fund were also agreed upon. Another power-point presentation was made on the cultivation of gooseberry by an official from the Agri Research Center Medziphema.
