CHÜMOUKEDIMA, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): Maharashtra powered to a 14–0 victory over Himachal Pradesh, while Mizoram edged Madhya Pradesh 4–2 in back-to-back fixtures of the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2) on Thursday.
In Match No. 11, Maharashtra dominated from kick-off, scoring twice inside the opening two minutes and maintaining full control with 76% possession, 30 shots on target, 15 corners and only one foul committed. Aarna struck four times (1’, 14’, 54’, 90+4’) and captain Aysha netted five (28’, 74’, 85’, 86’, 90+1’) in a standout performance.
Ipshita scored in the 2nd minute, followed by goals from Aria in the 64th, Aanshi in the 71st, Poonam in the 78th and Sharvari in the 80th. Himachal Pradesh managed just one shot on target.
The result reinforced Maharashtra’s position as a strong contender for the title as they advance to the knockout stage.

Mizoram and Madhya Pradesh delivered meanwhile one of the tournament’s most competitive encounters, but despite the spirited display, both teams failed to progress from the group stage.
Loisy put Mizoram ahead in the 30th minute before Madhya Pradesh responded immediately after halftime through Khushi Parte in the 46th. Mizoram regained the lead in the 49th via Mawipuii, who later scored again in the 74th to make it 3–2 after another Madhya Pradesh equalizer from Komal Saket in the 59th.
Nunpuii sealed the win in the 81st minute. Mizoram celebrated the result, though the victory came too late to keep their knockout hopes alive.
