Action from the Chandigarh vs Jammu & Kashmir match at the Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship in Chümoukedima on December 7.
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Chandigarh concluded their group-stage campaign with a 3–0 win over Jammu & Kashmir in Match 18 of the Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2) here on Saturday, but the victory was not enough to secure a semi-final berth.
Chandigarh dominated possession and looked the sharper side throughout, registering 55 per cent possession and consistently stretching the opposition through flank play. Jammu & Kashmir, with 45 per cent possession, remained disciplined in defence and restricted Chandigarh to long-range attempts in the first half, which ended goalless.
Jammu & Kashmir earned a penalty in the second half but failed to convert, allowing Chandigarh to maintain control of the contest.

Chandigarh broke the deadlock in the 67th minute when Kajal latched onto a through ball and finished calmly to make it 1–0. Seven minutes later, Alisha doubled the lead, capitalising on a defensive error to slot home.
Kajal completed her brace in the 81st minute with a well-timed run and a powerful finish inside the box, sealing a comprehensive 3–0 victory.
Despite the dominant result and an improved goal difference, Chandigarh’s earlier group-stage setbacks meant they narrowly missed out on a semi-final spot.
