Executive Committee of AIFF after its meeting in New Delhi on July 2.

The Executive Committee of All India Football Federation (AIFF) has given its approval for conduct of the first edition of Dr T Ao Junior (Girls) National Football Championship 2025 by the 2nd week of November this year.
The decision in this respect was taken during the Executive Committee meeting of the AIFF on July 2 at New Delhi.
Nagaland Football Association (NFA) president K. Neibou Sekhose informed that Nagaland will be hosting this championship for the first time after renaming of the tournament after Dr. T.Ao.
It will take place at Kohima and Chümoukedima, informed Sekhose who is also executive member of AIFF.
It may be recalled that during the AIFF Executive Committee Meeting followed by the AIFF Annual General Meeting, held on the 10th of September 2024 in Hyderabad, it was unanimously decided that the Junior National Girls Championship will now be named in honour of the first Captain of the Indian Olympic Football Team (1948), Late Dr. T. Ao.
This renaming is a tribute to Late Dr.T. Ao’s outstanding contributions to Indian football, according to AIFF.
