Mon, January 24 (MExN): A lecture on Dr. Talimeren Ao in commemoration of the 100th year of birth centenary was held on January 23 at Council Hall, Mon.
District Sports Officer Mon, Anguvito Sumi highlighted on the life history of Dr T Ao. He said that Dr T Ao occupies a special place in the arena of sports and games, particularly football, not only in Nagaland but also in the whole country. It was largely due to his untiring efforts that the Nagaland Football Association and the Nagaland Badminton Association has been recognised and affiliated to the national bodies, he said.
The Department of information & Public relations screened a documentary on Dr T Ao during the occasion.
The programme was organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaborations with Department of Information & Public Relations and Heath & Family Welfare.
CMO, Mon, Dr Kechongol also spoke during the occasion.
