KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Er Zale Neikha today remembered and paid homage to Dr Talimeren Ao, the footballing legend from Nagaland on the occasion of his 22nd death anniversary on September 13.
A statement from the Advisor said that “while Dr T Ao had shown the way, I urge upon our present generation sportspersons to choose particular discipline in order to be professionals and achieve greater heights.”
He affirmed that the Youth Resources and Sports department “will spare no effort to promote our enthusiastic sporting talents.”
Late Dr T Ao captained Independent India's first football team and was also the flag bearer of the Indian contingent in the 1948 London Olympics.
