Dimapur District Football Association breezed through the quarterfinals without breaking a sweat, defeating Niuland District Football Association 3-0 in the ongoing Dr T Ao Tournament 2022. Dimapur took control of the ball possession in a highly anticipated encounter, and Hivi Kiba scored in the 14th minute, followed by Toka's second goal in the 29th minute, to make it 2-0 for the Dimapur team.

In the 70th minute of the second half, Kakhevi secured their triumph, making it 3-0 for the team. This tournament, Dimapur winger Kakhevi has been in terrific form, harassing the defensive line. He was one of the greatest wingers in the tournament thanks to his speed and goal-scoring instincts. He has three goals in four games for the Dimapur team.

Niuland failed to impress in the game, as their careless defending resulted in a goal, much to the team's dismay, and the striker's finishing touch was missing.

Defending champion Phek District Football Association was defeated 3-1 by Mon District Football Association, who fought back from a goal down.

Defending champions took the lead in the fifth minute when Johnny Ritse took advantage of a goalkeeping error by leapfrogging keeper Eshong Konyak into the net.

However, the goal advantage did not last long as the Mon team fought back and equalised.

In the 20th minute, Langphong Konyak scored to put the game out of their reach. In the 43rd minute, Laiwang Bohham Konyak, their striker, converted a penalty after a handball by Phek defender Resu, bringing the score to 2-1. The spectators were ecstatic, and Mon's team spirit was high as a result of the goal.

Mon had a superior strike than Phek, with more precision and accuracy. Phek fought back in the second half for an equaliser, but Shamba Samson put the game to bed in the 63rd minute with a goal. For the defending squad Phek, it was all over as they were outwitted by Mon's performance and struggled to maintain the defensive line on pace. The Phek squad has conceded the most goals in this game, and they were unable to stop the rampant Mon from scoring.

Peren, Tseminyu advance to semifinals
Peren District Football Association advanced to the semifinals of the tournament with a lone goal victory over Kohima District Football Association.

Mezibui scored the lone goal in the 50th minute, which was enough for the side to advance to the third quarter final match.
The only difference between the two sides throughout the contest was a single goal.

Despite Khiuwangbo Kaurintah's knee injury, Peren's coach fielded their playmaker in the game, and his injury scare bothered him as he failed to make an impact and lost the ball. Peren were unable to gain a foothold in the game, and the ball was lost in the midfield area. In the second half, though, it was their playmaker Kaurintah's corner that found Mezibui, who headed the ball into the net.

The Peren team will be concerned about Kaurintah's injury in the semifinal encounter, since they will face a Dimapur team that has yet to concede a goal.

Tseminyu District Football Association defeated Shamator District Football Association 4-0 to advance to the tournament semifinals.

Tseminyu cruised to victory, with Yhunshalo Kemp scoring his second hat-trick of the competition. Kemp, the tournament's top scorer, has 10 goals in four games.

Yhunshalo Kemp scored two goals in the 19th and 38th minutes, then added a hat-trick in the 60th minute, while Sinlo Kent scored in the 49th minute.

The Shamator team, which was playing for the first time, did not have much of an impact on the game, with only two shots on target.

A convincing victory for the inexperienced team as they get closer to the tournament's finals.

With the win, Tseminyu District Football Association will play against Mon District Football Association in the second semifinals match on Wednesday.
