Shamator District Football Association advanced to the quarter finals of the tournament by a solitary goal thanks to substitute Nika H Achumi's late strike.

Shamator has earned 5 points after drawing two matches and winning one, making them the last team to qualify for the next round. In the final match of the day on Tuesday, Shamator will face Tseminyu in the quarterfinals.

The game was evenly poised as they failed to break the deadlock in a contest that both teams really wanted to win. Both teams failed to capitalise on their opportunities in the first half.

Shamator fought for the win in the second half, and their substitute Achumi repaid the coach's faith in the dying minutes when they needed it most. In injury time, Achumi scored the game-winning goal on a single run, edged past the goalie.

The goal gave the Shamator team and their fans a reason to rejoice. Shamator, though, who will be playing against Tseminyu, has a monumental challenge. If they are to go to the semi-finals, the Shamator club will need to improve their game and have its strikers finish the job for them.
