Kohima, August 29 (DIPR): The Department of Rural Development has informed that the enumeration phase of the Socio-Economic & Caste Census (SECC-2011) in respect of Nagaland both urban and rural areas has been completed. The Draft List publication of SECC 2011 will be in the public domain soon for inviting claims and objections, for which the dates will be notified by the government. Claims and objections can be filed within a period of 21 days from the date of publication of the draft list followed by hearing, disposal and publication of the final list. It has been noticed that the public are often confused about the SECC and mixed it up other exercises being carried out in the state such as electoral roll revision and EPIC, NPR and Biometrics apart from other surveys/programmes such as RSBY or the ensuing 6th Economic Census etc. However public had been informed by the concern department that the SECC is a completely different exercise undertaken by the department of Rural Development in the state for a completely different reason.
