Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): On International Women’s Day, the Women Cell of Unity College under IQAC celebrated the day with students performing drama and skit portraying the different ‘shades of woman,’ a press release from the college said. Celebrated under the theme ‘Press for Progress,’ the event also saw songs and dance “epitomizing the gracefulness of women” and speeches “emphasising on the strength of women as well as on dispersing away with discrimination of women in our present society,” the release added. To meet the “hygienic needs” of the women, the college authority donated a sanitary box on the day. “The programme was an eye opener and an enriching experience for all genders present,” the press release asserted.
